These are two Excel 2000 Templates and some General Instructions for using them!  These templates will also work in Excel XP and Excel 2003!

Both Excel Template's File Are Clear of Data when opened the first time.  The best thing for you to do is Click On The File Menu and Select Save As to preserve the Document the way you see it now.  Just give it a Name such as The Job Name or ?

1 Text Document that you may be reading right now!  Even a First Time Builder shouldn't have any problems seeing how the spread sheet works!  They are well commented and as simple as reading Dimensions From A Set Of Blue Prints and adding the data to the SS.

BECAUSE SOME OF THE DIMENSIONS ARE CALCULATED DOWN AS MUCH AS A SQUARE INCH I RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING!!

I always recommend adding Ten Percent to the totals for items that you can't get a real accurate measurement on such as Basement Floors, Footers, etc!!  You will also want to add a % to the lumber!  I have never been on a job yet that you didn't unload some worthless lumber that had to be sent back!
